This lesson we pitched our ideas for the digipak and magazine advert to the class.

Now we are doing a all sheet for the photo shoot we are hoping to do the shoot this week Saturday but we will have to clear this with the actor.

Feedback for our music video

Editing continued

We have now put everything in its place and we have enough footage. However, we made a mistake while filming as we did not film more than we needed and we did not film enough different shots. We have no decided to film some motifs to allow us to cut into the footage we already have so that our shots are not too long. We hope this goes well.

Filming Day 2

Yesterday we finished filming for our music video. We now have all the necessary footage neededto put our video together. Today we started editing this and putting it together.

We have now finished filming for our music video and we have all the footage we need to edit and complete our music video.

Editing & filming day 2

We have now organised our project and existing footage in a way that will make it easy to put the new footage in once we have filmed it. We have made cuts on existing scenes to make it easy for us Tolstoy new scenes in as we have decided that we need more shots particularly close ups.

Ideally we would have liked to have all our footage my now but due to issues regarding camera loans and the availability of our actor we have had to delay however we will be filming on Sunday and aim to get everything filmed.

Filming day 2 preparations

Our second filming day is going to take place on Sunday 8th November. We have decided that we will need to refilm certain parts that we have already filmed on the day as well as filming at the Brick Lane location. Below I have written down the scenes that need to be refilled and what else we could add. 

Editing continued

We have continued editing our music video. We have encountered some issues regarding the footage we currently have and will need to refilm as well as film the rest of it which has not been filmed as yet. Overall, some of the scenes we have we are pleased with and have proceeded to add them in the right places. 

Filming Day 1

Today was our main filming day in which our initial plan was to get all our filming done today and we did do everything to schedule so that this could happen. However, the battery of the DSLR died before we could get to our final location, Brick Lane and we did not have a charger or a backup battery as we probably should have made sure we did have. However, we did manage to get most of the filming done which means that we can start editing.

We started off at the house filming in the actors room and also in the stairs. After leaving the house location we went over our footage and realised that the scenes we filmed with the actor on the stairs was too dark therefore we will have to rethink that particular scene as we may not be able to go back to the house to film due to timing.

Most of our filming for today took place in Valentines Park. Although we tried to stick to the storyboard as best we could, however whilst actually filming we realised that some of the shots we had did not make sense with the scene and the lyrics of the song etc. Therefore we started filming scenes that we thought would look good and we switched up some scenes that were in our original storyboard.

This is an email I sent to the record label managing the artist whose music I am intending to use for my music video. I have since sent a second email requestion permission again and have not received a reply for either. As such, I will be going ahead with using the track and hope it will not cause any issues.
